Job Description

To ensure that the administration of a deceased estate is completed efficiently, professionally and profitably, to meet financial and revenue targets using the Administration of Estates Act 66 of 1965 and other applicable legislation
- Assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Act responsibly with work related resources to contribute to cost containment
- Complete the full end to end administration of deceased estates
- Complete the process from onboarding to finalisation of deceased estates
- Administer the client relationship management process
- Lodge various documents with the Master of the High Court
- Protect and preserve estate assets
- Complete the realisation and transfer of the assets process
- Finalise the settlement of the deceased, estates liabilities and administration expenses
- Finalise the deceased entitys tax affairs
- Distribute estate to the estate beneficiaries either in terms of the deceased's will or in terms of the Intestate Succession Act 81 of 1987
- Assess progress and develop plans or strategies to avoid and minimise problems or delays in administration of estates
- Attend to the finalisation of the deceased and deceased entitys tax affairs including but not limited to Income Tax, Estate Duty, Capital Gains Tax and VAT
- Identify new business opportunities following from the liquidation of an estate e.g. Wills, Trusts, Investments and provide Fiduciary Specialists with the necessary
- information or leads
