**Job Advert Summary**:
The HSRC seeks to make an appointment within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Unit. SCM is a regulated function in terms of the PFMA. The Supply Chain Management team provides professional services to the HSRC. Its work processes and policies have been streamlined and simplified to deliver user oriented, value-adding services. The successful applicant will be appointed on** a permanent basis**. The successful incumbents will be based in the Pretoria Office.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- A three-year National Diploma or Degree in Public Management and Governance, Purchasing Management and Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- At least two years’ experience in supply chain management, demand, acquisitions and/or logistics management;
- Computer literacy in MS Office;
- Strong computer skills
- English well spoken
- Good analytical, and negotiation skills
- Customer service orientated
- Good interpersonal, planning, organizing, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of tender administration will be an added advantage

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Advertise bids on e-Tender Portal and applicable platforms.
- Provide Secretariat support to bid committees.
- Select potential suppliers on CSD on rotation basis.
- Administer Contract Management Register / Supplier Performance
- Obtain price quotations when required.
- Source goods and services required by the HSRC.
- Evaluate quotations and recommend suppliers in accordance with SCM policy and related Treasury prescripts.
- Follow up and ensure that orders are delivered to the correct unit on time.
- Assist in drafting SCM / procurement reports.
- Render administrative support to the Unit.
- Perform other ad hoc responsibilities within SCM.
