An exciting opportunity exists for a **Raw Materials Buyer **at **NATIONAL BRANDS LIMITED, Rosslyn Snacks**. The purpose of the role is the overall responsibility for the management and procurement of all raw materials required for the day-to-day production requirements from multiple suppliers at the required quality, managing MRP parameters, inputting data, and expediting orders through to delivery and managing stock at offsite warehouses if applicable. The buyer will secure stock for future demands and new raw material items.

**Job Specification**:
**Key Performance Areas**:

- Review and update procurement procedures to ensure compliance with company standards
- Submission of the required information for month-end reports
- Using SAP to evaluate material stock on hand quantities and identify requirements to be ordered
- Provide feedback to Accounts Payable on Accounts Payable queries
- Work closely with the Site Scheduler to go through the Production plan
- Ensure availability of sufficient material for production plans and services requested using SAP MRP
- Keep accurate inventory within the agreed target
- Report weekly on the stock value on hand and inventory day’s cover
- Monitor slow-moving materials to optimize order quantities and frequency
- Assist with monthly stock count
- Limiting account queries to prevent late payment of accounts
- Monitoring and compiling sales rates report daily and supplier feedback

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- At least 3 years of experience in a similar buyer function is required gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Experience in buying Raw and Packaging and Other Services

**Qualifications**:
Completed tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Purchasing required
**Additional Requirements**:

- SAP experience essential
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Good Knowledge of procurement compliance
