**Job Description: Accountant Manager**

**Qualification and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with completed articles.
- Preference will be given if already registered with SAIPA or SAICA.
- Minimum of 2 years post articles experience in a financial role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team.

**Competencies**:

- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a small team of accountants.
- Strong analytical skills: Capable of analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insightful recommendations.
- Attention to detail: Keen eye for accuracy and precision in financial records and reports.
- Excellent communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies.
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulations and compliance: Familiarity with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing accounting practices, software, and industry trends.

**Key Outputs**:

- Team management: Supervise and provide guidance to a small team of accountants, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
- Financial statement preparation: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with clients and team members to develop budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
- Tax planning and compliance: Assist clients in tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax regulations, preparing and reviewing tax returns.
- Client management: Establish and maintain relationships with clients, addressing their accounting needs, providing financial advice, and managing their expectations.
- Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes, implementing efficient workflows and leveraging technology for automation.
- Financial analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, interpreting data, and providing recommendations to improve financial performance and business operations.

**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Somerset West, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
