Business Development Leader - East Rand, Gauteng - Job-3682

**Business Development Leader **needed for aLeading supplier of the most comprehensive range of plastic pipe fittings, valves and pipeline accessories that will be responsible for developing the products and securing new revenue streams within Company's existing portfolio of customers as well as seeking out new customers in the chosen business sector (Mining, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Industrial and Wholesale & Retail).

Ability to travel as required by role.

Key external relationships: External Customers C-Level
Primary Purpose: This role includes developing new product lines to current and new customers and that can attribute to the additional revenue for Company. These functions are not limited to the borders of South Africa but to also work with the cluster export team to identify and target new markets. Developing strategic customers on contract or non-contract via any of the Company's network branches and franchises that contribute to the business development and growth in Revenue for the company. Building and maintaining strategic C-Level relationships with key stakeholders within blue chip companies (specifiers, project houses, channel partners and end users) to increase demand for reliance on current and future products of the company. Well-groomed neat and well presented. Must have exceptional communication, presentation, and reporting skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the sales network. Strong negotiation skills. Fast paced extrovert personality with the ability to work within a team. Business acumen skills Develop business case study proposals that will contribute to the business and offer either additional revenue streams, savings or growth of economical substance withing the company.

Job description / core competencies:
STRATEGIC PLANNING

Analyse and monitor market trends and likely future trends. Compare analysis results to Company offer and future offer plans / needs. Identify potential new products to satisfy established demands. Propose modification or development of offers to fill perceived gaps. Assist in the preparation of budget for required area based on pipeline and potential. Participate in the annual strategic plan for Company.

FINANCE

Must ensure sales & GP targets are achieved as specified by Business. Development of Business case models and Feasibility studies to grow and develop the business in various aspects, revenue, savings, new product development and offering a larger portfolio to the customer base or new target customers. Contracts of customers are thoroughly drafted or studied to ensure we not only meet or exceed the SLA criteria but also protecting Company from any liabilities or claims.

CUSTOMER

Contact new and existing customers within various segments to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by offering a consultive sales approach on the customers’ specific products and services required. Conduct proposal presentations and close deals, grow and maintain critical relationships with C-Level executives and filter through entire customer corporations. Evaluate, target and grow the segment in accordance with the KPI’s together with the extensive network and providing solutions to the customer’s needs. Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients and new leaders, participating in organizations, trade shows and extensive research into marketing material. Building up market and competition knowledge by analysing market trends. Presenting to large Blue chip enterprises, Mines or Governmental/Parastatal boards the offerings we have and create partnerships and supply agreements that are embedded long term with Company. Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands.

OPERATIONS

Build, grow and maintain relationships with key strategic customers, becoming point of contact and trusted advisor. Develop and implement various sales strategies with short term, medium term, and long-term goals in alignment with the specific segment growth of the company targets. Develop the Company value proposition for the segment and execute, manage regional and individual customer strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. Schedule planning for routine branch visits to key customers Supply Level agreement drafting for customers and contracts. Understanding and engaging in NDA’s, SLA’s and customer contracts to pursue new business to the fullest value of available contracts. Mapping of Sectors withing Segments and identifying possible new business streams that could provide lucrative revenue for Company.

PEOPLE

Working with and assisting sales staff within the branches country wide. Up skill and training staff members within the branches. Training and skill developments with Customer
