One of the largest businesses within the Sanlam Group, Sanlam Corporate (SC) specialises in the provision of risk, investment and administration services to institutions and retirement funds. Focused on meeting the unique needs of its diverse clients, SC assists companies in creating and delivering customised employee benefits solutions, including the collection of premiums and communication to fund members. The overall purpose of the role
Manage and oversee a group of administrators. The role will involve monitoring and facilitating the daily operational activities of your team, work and volume management, ensuring that work is complete within SLA and that client queries are handled efficiently and effectively. Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be essential to ensure excellent client service. What will you do?
**Key Responsibilities**:
Identify and assist with the development of effective processes and improve current processes
Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Quality Control - checking and sign-off of all work items
Ensure all SLA’s are met
Effective management of all daily workflows for the team
Effective management of “ad hoc” requests by clients/management
Optimising resources - coaching team members so that they can perform to their full potential
Support team with challenging/complex queries & tasks
Create a positive work environment
Perform in accordance with the company’s core competency expectations
Management Reporting What will make you successful in this role?
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Matric with a C- symbol in either Mathematics or Accounting essential
At least 3 - 5 years knowledge of the Group Risk business relating to premium administration; member management and medical underwriting processes.
Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
Knowledge and Skills Sound Knowledge of products, processes and services in the Group Risk environment Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) Understanding of rules and policy regulations with regards to schemes/funds Advanced excel skills is a requirement Experience on MIP workflow system will be advantageous Behavioral Competencies
