The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Head of Monitoring and Evaluation.

**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Experience working with quantitative and qualitative methodologies, operations research, public sector management information systems, reporting, data quality assessments, data analysis and presentation.
- Experience in processing and analysing data using one or more statistical software packages.
- Demonstrated strong management, coordination, teamwork and integrated planning skills.
- Excellent diplomacy skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships with AUDA-NEPAD, Member States and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated substantive leadership and ability to integrate knowledge with broader strategic, policy and operational objectives.
- Experience in managing organizational resources and deployment in pursuit of innovative approaches and initiatives.
- Experience in leading and supervising a diverse team and the ability to leverage limited resources and staff for maximum impact.
- Expertise in identifying and adapting best practices to specific strategic contexts.
- Experience in working with international organizations, preferably in Africa
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality at the highest level
- High level of expertise in integrating monitoring and evaluation results into knowledge creation.
- High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment and energy.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions
- Strong ability to manage teams, create an enabling environment and develop staff;
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP ERP) essential.

**Education and Experience**:
A Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Demography, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Economics or any other related field with ten (10) years post-qualification experience in:

- Design, monitoring, and evaluation of projects/programmes or related areas.
- Preparing, managing and conducting impact evaluations including the use of various research methodologies and evaluation technology within the public sector or similar institutions, regional organizations/institutions and civil society organizations or similar organizations nationally, regionally and / or internationally.

Or

A Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Demography, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Economics or any other related field with at least twelve (12) years post-qualification experience in:

- Design, monitoring, and evaluation of the projects/programmes or related areas.
- Preparing, managing and conducting impact evaluations including the use of various research methodologies and evaluation technology, at least five (5) years should be at the management level within the public sector or similar institutions, regional organizations/institutions and civil society organizations or similar organizations nationally, regionally and / or internationally.

**Remuneration**:
