**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Minimum Required Qualification**
- A degree qualification
- An honours degree will be an advantage

**Minimum Required Experience**
- Minimum 3 years working experience
- Experience in working with students in an institution of higher learning
- Experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Knowledge of support systems for students
- Knowledge of requirements for international travel
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Good emotional intelligence
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Ability to keep up with current international affairs of feeder countries
- Ability to source and utilise international related information
- Knowledge of multi-agency work, for example, embassy liaison, Visa agencies,

social care, etc.
- Ability to maintain confidential information for both staff and students
- Confidence in dealing with difficult or sensitive situations professionally
- Ability to present a professional image at all times when dealing internal and

external stakeholders

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Preparing for the welcome of international staff and students
- Organizing and implementing orientation programs for new and visiting

international students
- Providing support for settling in new students
- Ensuring social integration of the students and relevant support for the students
- Assisting the University of Limpopo International Students Organization (ULISO)

in planning programme of action and providing of leadership training and

mentoring to the organisation
- Assisting in student recruitment
- Providing pre-departure orientation for staff and students traveling abroad
- Managing international emergencies for staff and students
- Compile and keep data of South African embassies
- Keep records of staff and students’ international travel
