**Requirements**:

- Relevant degree (e.g. BCom Marketing / BA Marketing & Communications)
- Certified with the Marketing Association of SA (MASA)
- 5+ years relevant marketing management experience
- Hospitality / private healthcare marketing experience would be advantageous

**The main purpose of this position**:
The Marketing Manager will be reporting to the Hospital Manager with a dotted line into the Group Marketing Manager, the role-holder works closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and communication plans to support the hospital to achieve its objectives through growing the brand and increasing positive patient experience and community awareness.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Build professional working relationships with stakeholders across the business to support the achievement of business strategy and objectives
- Demonstrate understanding of both the hospital and Group Marketing strategy and plan, as well as local nuances to be able to implement it in a localized way
- Create marketing plans detailing outcomes and goals and ensure alignment with the hospital and Group Marketing objectives
- Identify ways to promote client’s mission within the communities the hospital serves This could include working with Finance and other relevant hospital and group stakeholders on CSI Corporate Social Investment) initiatives
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the relevant, timely implementation of initiatives and campaigns per the signed off marketing plan
- Support Stakeholder Relations Manager to work with doctors to market their practices (both internally and to the community)
- Work with the Stakeholder Relations Manager to build key relationships within the community to be able to effectively market the hospital to them (including motivating for sponsorships for example)
- Brief and engage services of external suppliers where required
- Demonstrate abilities to manage conflict and difficult requests, adapting communication style to meet the needs of different audiences
- Assume responsibility for own personal and professional development
- Remain abreast of changes with our client’s evolving policies and procedures
- Build relationships with peers at other client’s hospitals to identify and share information
- Participate in relevant internal and external forums/committees as required
