To Manage a team of 3RD Party Administrators within the SPM Managed Clients Portfolio, who perform various accounting and administrative functions on Equities,, Derivatives, Money Market and Offshore investments in order to provide customer service to high net-worth clients.

Accountable for managing transactional processing for the Managed Clients Portfolio and daily payments processing. Required to facilitate the team’s performance of reconciliations across the bank accounts within the team. Accountable in assuming a specialist lead function on internal systems

**Job Description**:
Management and Support:
Provide ongoing support to Head of Operations in driving business development and subsequently business targets through monitoring and identifying opportunities within the operations environment, To plan, manage and monitor the implementation of operations specific activities and processes in order to deliver on approved operational plans as set out by Senior Management in an effective and efficient manner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
.Oversight on Teams Execution of critical tasks, including but not limited to:

- The Daily reconciliations on the clearing accounts and partner with the SPM Finance team to clear any outstanding items.
- Reporting and escalation of any outstanding items on all accounts in line with Policy
- Processing payment of monthly, quarterly income payments to clients on BI and obtain authorization from authorized signatories.
- Running the monthly management fees from the Vendor system, capture the figures request verification and approval from the line manager.
- Preparation of invoices for Absa Fund Manager (AFM) for AFS monthly fee payment. Verify and approve.
- Compile a quarterly SARB report with details from the AUM monthly report for the Head of Operations ‘ sign off before forwarding to SARB electronically.
- Ensure that all records are kept according to the Absa Records Management Policy.
- Ensure that all Data Privacy Policy rules and regulations are adhered to protect client data.
- Accurate Balancing of administration fees due to intermediary companies
- Preparation of invoices for all intermediaries and forward to finance for payment.
- Updating of the Absa Advisors report with the commission paid to them and reconcile to the Trial Balance.

Project Support
- Contribute towards the business BRD when required on Projects.
- Continues liaising with Vendor on the progress of the project.
- Complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify the new requirements prior to going into the live environment.
- Manage and test enhancements on monthly statements.
- Automation of manual processes within Absa Stockbrokers.
- Attend project work stream meetings to ensure alignment with business strategy.
- Facilitate feedback and suggest action items with relation to projects to address various business support needs and gaps.
- Focus and drive system and process enhancements with the SPM business

Stakeholder Management:

- Actively promote the collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders of SPM including suppliers, clients, service providers, business partners and other ABSA entities.
- Co-operate as needed with key stakeholders e.g., JSE to deepen working relationships with regulators and other internal and external parties.

Risk and Control:
Ensure that all risk and control requirements relating to the portfolios are met and/or implemented as required, Ensure that team’s Operating Environment is in line with Risk Management standards

Business Development: Agree financial targets with Senior Management /new business targets and set out tactical plans to achieve this on an annual basis

People Management: Coach, mentor and manage team members toward driving business objectives and ensuring colleague development (where applicable).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric
- Postgraduate degree and /or
- Three (3) year Certificate in Investment Administration or equivalent to NQF level 4
- Three (3) years’ experience as a Manager in Investment Management Administration
- Experience on JSE BDA system

Education

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
