**Main Purpose of the Role**:

- The purpose of the Systems Administrator is to keep our networks fully operational, monitor functions and operations within the network and keep downtimes to a minimum.
- In addition, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading any software or hardware required to efficiently run the business. A high-level attention to detail regarding the security and functionality of the entire IT system infrastructure, including but not limited to Microsoft and Amazon, virtualization, firewalls, routers, servers and desktop systems. Other key success factors include the ability to manage time effectively with the ad-hoc demands of staff requests as well as the ability to interact and engage with staff on their level with patience and understanding.
- In addition, the purpose of the Systems Administrator is to assist with maintaining currently deployed IT equipment such as Laptops and ensuring all peripherals are in a good working state. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for general system troubleshooting (Outlook, Printer, General Software), as well as deploying new hardware to users.

**What you Need to Succeed**:
Qualifications and Experience:

- Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology Degree or Diploma.
- Microsoft Azure and AWS certification.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a System Administrator/IT Engineer.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with Office365 and Mimecast experience.
- Experience working on AWS and Azure Cloud systems.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory.
- MCSE experience (advantageous).

Technical Competencies:

- Security Management _
- Identification of an organization's assets (machines, systems and information assets), followed by the development, documentation, and implementation of policies and procedures for protecting these assets, and ensuring streamlined governance across the business, including office security and fingerprint management systems.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance_
- Maintenance services include both hardware maintenance and support services, and support services. Hardware maintenance and support services are preventive and remedial services that require physical repair or optimizing hardware, including contract maintenance and per-incident repair for each business unit as well as companywide systems and servers.
- Develop and implement hardware maintenance plan to ensure that assets are tracked and replaced when necessary. Budget planning and forecasting to meet company requirements and ensure that equipment is bought in budget as we purchase all hardware in USD.
- Required to onboard and support of new employees with regards to hardware and software.
- System Administration _
- User administration and system security.
- Includes the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems;
- Ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users, without exceeding a set budget when doing so.
- Ability to acquire, install, or upgrade computer components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot; train or supervise staff; or offer technical support for projects.
