Reporting to the Group Business Development Director, you will perform a Specialist role for the Group, providing necessary expertise in maintaining the consistency in the financial analysis of Capital Investment projects.

**Minimum Job Requirements**:

- Degree - Business/Economics/Accounting or equivalent.
- Chartered Accountant (pref).
- 5+ years experience in Senior Finance role.
- M&A experience.
- Financial modelling experience.
- Experience working with teams in Africa.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Contribute to key growth projects by creating and maintaining project financial models suitable to assess the investment attractiveness and support debt raising process.
- Prepare valuation assessments of internal or prospective operations, creating a multi-faceted approach to the valuation process.
- Engage as required with external financial advisors, completing variance assessments in M&A transactions between the Group and other company perspectives and providing qualitative and quantitative inputs to internal M&A discussions.
- Contribute to all M&A due diligence by integrating analyses timeously and accurately from all workstreams then assessing variances to internal investment models.
- Conceptualise new ventures in a way that encourages internal stakeholder discussion.
- Provide adhoc support to operations and businesses around the Group specifically on project financial modelling, to ensure they are consistent and accurate with regards to general project development.
- Analyse the results and outcomes of analyst and/or company (of interest) reports.

- Excellent analytical skills.

- Good understanding of the business value chain.
- Working understanding of IFRS, working capital and financial reporting.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Solutions-focused with continuous improvement mind-set.
- Experience within the FMCG industry, with a sound understanding of various regional commercial markets.
- Good interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills in a complex organisation.
- Proven track record in effectively engaging and partnering with senior stakeholders in the business.
- Dedicated team player, with a proven action orientation and timely adherence to deadlines under high pressure.
- A keen awareness of environmental pressures, as well as corporate and social responsibility.
- Willingness to travel frequently as and when required to all countries of operation.
