**Job Purpose: Reservations coordinator.**
We are currently seeking a vibrant and guest-focused individual to join our team as a Reservations Coordinator/Host in the restaurant industry.
**Under the supervision of the front-of-house manager, the reservations coordinator is responsible for**:
- Act as the first point of contact for guests.
- Providing a warm and welcoming guest experience.
- Managing and coordinating all aspects of the reservations process.
- Collating accurate booking records.
- Handling special booking requests.
- Effectively communicating reservation details to the appropriate team members.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner.
- Proactively anticipating and accommodating guests' needs.
- Making recommendations and offering personalised guest experiences.
- Serving as an ambassador for our brand.
- Managing Dineplan booking platform.
- Managing telephonic bookings.
- Collaborating closely with the front-of-house team, including servers and managers, to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience.
- Motivating and leading the reservations team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of reservations, guest preferences, and contact information.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as generating reports, handling proof of payments, and following up on financial transactions when necessary.
- Staying informed about current promotions, menus, and restaurant events.
- Effectively communicating information to guests and team members.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Outstanding people skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to establish meaningful connections with guests and team members.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- A capacity to motivate and lead a team towards achieving shared goals.

- A positive attitude and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with reservation management software or systems is preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Rosebank, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
