In your role as a Research Scientist, you will define and perform cutting-edge, innovative research, publishing at top venues and journals in AI. In IBM Research you will connect and collaborate with leading researchers around the world and to engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, plan a research agenda, provide advice to product groups based on research results, and help transfer research technologies for adoption.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**:

- **
A Master’s or PhD degree** in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or related fields
- **
Minimum 3 year’s experience**:

- Proven publication track record at top machine learning, speech, vision, or natural language processing conferences and/or high-impact scientific journals
- Expert in machine learning, deep learning and _natural language processing_
- Excellent software development and coding ability in C++, Java, Python, R or related programming languages
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
Unix-like environments, shell scripting, version control, and service-oriented architectures
- Neuro-symbolic AI, abstract meaning representation, knowledge graphs
- Analysing large scale data from a variety of sources
- DevOps and Agile
