A local commodity trading company with offices in Cape Town and Hilton (KZN) that specialises in cross border trading of various products including Agricultural Commodities, Chemicals and Packaging Material within the SADC regions is looking to grow their team by appointing a confident and knowledgeable** Agricultural Trader**.

The role will be based in Cape Town, and the company would prefer a resource who has some experience in** agri commodity trading (min 2 years) **and who has knowledge and experience in cross border markets.

Essential for the role:

- Must have min 2-year Soft Agri Commodity Trading experience
- Must have strong sales skills
- Must have proven relationship management/development experience
- Must be willing and able to travel once a month into Africa
- Must have a good knowledge of logistics - must be able to find and negotiate with transporters for preferential rates and terms
- Must be able to cost projects and present to executive for quick decision making
- Must have knowledge on how to hedge currencies and SAFEX futures
- Must be able to generate sales leads, negotiate and execute trade deals, within a vibrant and dynamic company environment
- Must be a self
- starter, with energy to work and grow with the company
