Administration and Retail Manageress

We are a small, family-run business based in Kenilworth, Cape Town, specializing in the **handcrafted manufacture of bespoke clergy garments**. Our business is more than a retail shop—we are dedicated to creating custom-made, high-quality garments for clergy. We are looking for a **Retail and Administration Manageress** to join our team **6th January 2025 **and help us ensure our operations run smoothly.
**Key Requirements**
- Proven retail and administration experience in a managerial role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Friendly demeanour and exceptional people skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and at least one other South African language.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Flexible, able to work under pressure, **and available to work two Saturdays a month.**:
- A fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and processes.
Working hours Monday - Friday 8.30AM - 5PM. Saturday 9AM to 1PM
**Core Responsibilities**
- **Retail Management**:
- Oversee daily retail operations, including customer service and staff supervision.
- Maintain an inviting and well-organized retail space.
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate reordering.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Handle correspondence, record-keeping, and other office-related tasks.
- Prepare and manage schedules, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Assist with bookkeeping and liaise with the accounting team.
- **Customer Service**:
- Engage with clients professionally, providing product advice and solutions.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction.
- **Production Liaison**:
- Work closely with the production team to ensure **custom-made garments** are tailored and delivered on time.
- Oversee the progress of bespoke orders, addressing delays or issues promptly.
- **Team Leadership**:
- Train, guide, and motivate team members to meet performance goals.
- Implement and maintain processes that ensure team efficiency and productivity.
- **Operational Efficiency**:
- Ensure the store and office run seamlessly by addressing and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate sales and transaction records, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
