Sherq Manager

As part of RCL FOODS, we are seeking a strategic leader to drive risk management, technical food safety, occupational health and safety, and quality compliance at Siqalo Foods. In this role, you will ensure that the site maintains relevant certifications, drives continuous improvement, and meets legislative, regulatory, and performance standards in the marketplace. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier quality assurance to attain progressive safety, health, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and enhancing the organization's framework as necessary. Additionally, you will lead and manage site security operations to safeguard our facilities and assets.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and sustain programs for Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Safety and Health (QFS) to prevent harm and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the Siqalo Foods Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) strategy.
- Foster a proactive safety and food safety culture for a secure work environment.
- Ensure the production of high-quality products meeting safety standards and consumer expectations.
- Monitor and drive achievement of strategic and operational targets.
- Manage SHE and quality team capabilities, testing programs, and laboratory practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality and safety benefits.
- Drive improvements in SHEQ processes and systems to maintain the highest standards.
- Network and build relationships across the organization and industry to stay informed of trends.
- Provide technical support, manage certifications, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and drive quality enhancement initiatives.
- Support quality assurance across logistics, customer service, and manufacturing.
- Develop and implement quality and food safety verification programs and systems.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to food safety and quality standards through risk assessment, audits, and training.
- Participate in project management and provide support for legal and quality issues.
- Lead and develop staff, ensuring performance, career development, and succession planning.
- Establish effective communication structures and address performance issues promptly.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Relevant degree in Quality Management or Food Technology and Safety (i.e. Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management)
- A minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in an FMCG environment with at least 3 years in a management role
- ISO Standards Training
- Valid Code EB drivers' licence
- SAMTRAC Qualified.
- FSCC 22000 Qualified
- HACCP
