Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data (weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly)
- Answers staff queries about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
- Providing HR advice and responding to HR queries from management and staff.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheets and payroll records
- Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
- Completing UIF forms
- Benefits Administration
- Keeping updated on labour legislation
- Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Development of Head Office HR Policies to be implemented.
- Implementation of Uniform HR Procedures
- Training of Site management, to be best equipped in managing staff and knowing how to escalate issues
- Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, Contracts, salary slips and warning letters
- Dealing with third party Organizations
- Maintaining staff files and collecting required documents from new hires
- Assisting with the various sites Occupational Health and Safety needs
- Ensuring labour compliance by completing registrations and returns.
- Collective bargaining knowledge (Mibco)
- General HR Administration
