An exciting role has become available for a **Digital Payments Specialist** in the online sports betting industry based in Cape Town. The company are looking for a talented person to join them in their mission to responsibly provide trusted and efficient payment solutions, needed for developing and growing the online sports and gaming markets.

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of payment processes within the online betting platform, contributing to the company’s success by providing a secure and seamless payment experience for the customers. The applicant will work closely with the customer care team to address all payment related customer queries. You will need to manage and monitor all payment channels and identify and implement new payment methods. They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role with any experience in the betting industry being advantageous.

The Digital Payments Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the digital payment process within the company’s platform. You’ll be tasked with ensuring seamless and secure transactions for customers, while also driving efficiency and minimizing risks related to payment operations. Your role involves staying updated on industry regulations and trends to implement compliant payment solutions and enhance the customer experience.

**Primary Functions of the role**:

- Payment Gateway Management: Manage relationships with payment gateway providers, ensuring integration, functionality and security of various payment methods, including - e-wallets, bank transfers and vouchers.
- Fraud Prevention: Work closely with payment gateway providers to develop and implement strategies to detect and prevent fraudulent online payment activities.
- Transaction Monitoring: Monitor transaction flows and analyze payment data to identify any anomalies or irregularities.
- User Support: Work closely with the customer-care team and provide feedback and/or escalate customer-related queries, ensuring we maintain a seamless customer experience.
- Payment Product Development: Collaborate with Payment Gateway Providers, Marketing and Product teams to identify opportunities for improving existing payment channels and exploring new payment technologies to meet the evolving customer needs and preferences.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Be the primary point of contact for the customer care team regarding all customer-related payment queries.
- Ensure compliance with payment policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze payment trends and identify areas for improvement in payment processes
- Train and mentor team members on payment processing procedures and best practices
- Prepare and submit reports related to payment processing activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payment systems and technologies
- Perform other duties as assigned related to payment processing and customer account management

**Skills and Qualification**
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payment processing a similar role
- Knowledge of payment systems, processes, API’s and industry best practices - sports betting industry experience advantageous
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: Up to R46 000,00 per month
