Despatch Supervisor

**Location: Isando (Johannesburg)**:

**Purpose of the Job**:
To administer and control the dispatch of packaged Lubes from Isando DC to local customers and to IBD Affiliates and Bulk Lubes to customers. To optimise the customer service levels. Implement processes to drive down cost to serve and ensure transhipping targets are met.

**What You'll be doing**:
**Dispatch Planning**
- Scheduling product loads to local customers and Affiliates by ensuring daily delivery due lists are addressed fully, reschedule orders if unable to fulfil and strive for no back orders.

**Transport Planning**
- Communicating daily planning lists to the transport contractors by monitoring vehicle arrival times and turnaround times at the DC.
- Supervise vehicle loading, strapping and dispatch in order achieve efficient business processes.
- Communicating via social media platforms with sales and transporters what the daily dispatch plan and exceptions are.

**Inventory Control**
- Ensuring customers are invoiced timeously and ensuring in transit gains and losses are capture by shipment.
- Ensuring that no vehicle is dispatched without shipment papers unless the exception has been approved by the DC Manager.

**Internal **Liaison**
- Conducting daily Sales and Customer Liaison and Support.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning as necessary.

**HSEQ**
- Complying with HSE standards and procedures by being visibly within the DC, Highbay and while vehicles are loading, and do Tier 1 audits.
- Facilitating RCA and incident investigations by meeting all HSE KRA's.

**What You'll Have done Before**:
Baseline:

- NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Planning, Transport, Supply Chain or Logistics)
- 5 years of experience in a Logistics planning environment
- Knowledge of Customers service, dispatch planning, vehicle utilization, import or export transactions.

Advantageous:

- NQF Level 7 or 8 (Degree in Warehouse/ Logistics, Supply Chain or Transport)
- Knowledge and experience on loading of containers
- Experience with advanced planning systems.
