Our client, one of the biggest banks in South Africa based in Johannesburg who is a firm believer in technical innovation and leading-edge financial solutions is urgently looking for Credit Risk Manager: Impairments, MI & Reporting.

***NOTE: This is a hybrid working model position and vaccination against COVID is now mandatory**
**In order to be considered the following is required**:

- Science degrees (MSc, BSc, B Bus) - Maths, Stats, IT, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance or any other relevant Business / MI qualification
- SAS / SQL / VBA / Other Coding Languages
- Advanced computer literacy skills with a high proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- 2 - 5 years of experience in a reporting and analytical role
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to meat tight reporting deadlines
- Analytical skills and self-motivated driver of performance
- Performance-driven and results-orientated with a relentless drive to succeed
- Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) abilities
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task, within a fast-paced and pressurized environment
- Strong planning, organizing and coordinating skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with a thorough approach to work
- An energetic positive approach to problem solving
- Positive assertiveness and business acumen

**Responsibilities**:

- To run and analyze the IFRS9 monthly impairments
- To inform & debate suggested IFRS 9 model changes, to ensure the principles are sound, but also it is optimal and applicable to our book
- To inform key stakeholders with superior analysis to ensure the most efficient allocation of funds within the Home Loans retail credit environment
- Inform credit risk through certain analytics, analyze home loans credit and consumer credit data in order to report on current strategies and inform future strategy decisions and recommendations
- Consulting with key stakeholders that have analytical requirements, whilst proactively seeking to optimize the portfolio reporting by identifying and implementing value adding solutions and automation
- Ongoing optimization of reporting
- Sensitivity analyses and expected impairment model impact based on suggested credit strategies
- Budgeting and rolling forecast
- Extract data for the annual audit process and providing information for the annual report, including the SEE report
- Monitoring the quality of the credit portfolio, by creating and evaluating analyses, risk reports and investigations
- Building and evaluating forecast models for future defaults and roll rates
- Perform data-oriented "ad-hoc" analysis to support business strategy optimization in credit
- Use data-oriented approach to work with stakeholders in solving complex business problems around risk and operational analysis
- Various MI and analytics elements
