We're seeking a Junior BI Analyst to join our growing Data team and dive headfirst into the exciting world of data analytics. As a Junior BI Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to hone your skills, work alongside seasoned professionals, and make meaningful contributions to our organization's success.

**So, what will you do?**

You will collect and analyse data from various sources to help businesses make informed decisions. You will use tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights in data, and present your findings to key stakeholders. Your ultimate goal is to improve organizational performance by providing valuable insights that can be used to make better strategic and operational decisions.

**In addition to the above, you will**:
**Report Development**:

- Assist in the creation of standard reports and dashboards using BI tools.
- Ensure that reports are clear, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.

**Data Collection and Cleaning**:

- Collect raw data from various sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Clean and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.

**Documentation**:

- Document data sources, methodologies, and report specifications.
- Maintain documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.

**Collaboration and business engagement**:

- Collaborate with team members, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Assist in translating business requirements into actionable insights.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Assist in ensuring data accuracy and reliability in reports and dashboards.
- Conduct quality checks on data sources and reports to identify and address inconsistencies.

**Qualifications**
- BSc Computer Science / BCom / IT related Degree
- Role related certifications, BI certifications (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView), SQL certifications.

**Deal breakers**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst role.
- Must have experience working directly with Data teams (Including Data engineers, Data Analysts) and have good exposure to various business functions.(Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations)
- Experience in SQL (Queries, Data Structures, Tables, View’s, Stored procedures etc.)
- Experience in a development role in PowerBI
- Solid understanding of Business Intelligence principles, processes and techniques
- Experience in working in an Agile environment (Scrum | Kanban).

**Additional Skills & Knowledge**:

- Previous industry experience in Financial services and / or Data analytics environment would be an advantage
- Good Quality Assurance experience in testing Specifications and Data Integrity
- Knowledge of the Business Intelligence landscape
- Good understanding of the data and analytics landscape
- Good understanding of how SLDC works in a Data driven environment and participation and active engagement in the defined internal processes (SDLC)
- Attention to detail and quality none negotiable
- Clear understanding of how to represent the needs of the end user from a business intelligence perspective
- Has worked previously in a data warehouse environment preferable.

**Business Understanding**:

- A good understanding of how various functional areas within a business work: Sales | Marketing | Finance | HR | Logistics | Operations
- A good understanding of how card transactions and the online payment industry works
- A very good understanding of the product management domain.
