**Responsibilities**:
**Strategies and Policies**:

- Providing a financial and asset life cycle of all assets and provides input as to what the direction needs to be in order to achieve the maximum benefit and the way forward
- Creating an effective achievable business plan as well as the mechanisms in place to monitor these actions
- Preparing and proposing strategies of whether to purchase or lease computer equipment and entering into buy back options with suppliers
- Continuously Formulating and updating of Asset management strategies and policies
- Maximize Return on Investment (ROI)

**Process and Procedures**:

- Re engineering and re - evaluation of existing asset procedures and processes
- Ensure that all processes are adhered to and report on any discrepancies
- Maintaining, updating, and managing financial asset register on a continuous basis to ensure completeness, validity, accuracy, and acceptance always
- Focus on driving down costs -Total Cost of Ownership
- Standardization of all computer equipment to further reduce total cost of ownership
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the life cycle of all assets and the financial capitalization thereof
- Reconciliations of all vendor invoices and payments Responsible for monthly maintenance billing, Mac, time and material
- Ensuring that all costs are correctly and accurately recorded on the Company Financial Asset register
- All processes to be fully documented for completeness and audit purposes
- The management of Warehousing component for all technology equipment ensuring that all assets ordered are received and all assets returned are receipted - Managing, controlling, and reconciling of stock in warehouse

**Reporting**:

- Managing, controlling, and reporting all of technology assets
- Monthly MIS highlighting relevant and meaningful information for management decision making
- Reporting on effects of additions, deletions, and transfer of assets
- Always providing information and reports regarding maintenance costs, depreciation, scrapping and additions of devices
- Monthly management reporting on quantity, type, addition, deletions, physical location and financial impact to the bank as a whole
- Monthly schedules providing the following information:

- Cost and Net Book Value of all assets within the Company
- Depreciation drops off schedule allowing all divisions to do proper cape budgets
- Monthly acquisition schedules of technology assets
- Disposals, scrapping and donations of assets
- Information and reports regarding maintenance costs

**Systems**:

- Knowledge of Financial asset management systems.
- Responsible for the accuracy of vendor maintenance costs on all out of warranty technology assets
- Management of all vendor databases and reconciling back to Company’s financial asset register.
- Provide input towards design and implementation of new systems.
- Electronic tool providing the bank with real time data as relates to their assets.
- Provides an electronic format of all assets within the company with all the applicable fields as set out in the asset registers.

**Audits**:

- Implement, manage, and perform continuous audits for verification purposes.
- Reconciling financial asset register with physical audit for all technology assets
- The physical audits of all branches within Company
- Ensure validity, accuracy, completeness, and ownership of financial and inventory asset registers.
- **End of life**:

- Good understanding of end-of-life disposals (Re-use Reduce and Recycle)

**Essential Qualifications - **NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate**Preferred Qualification**
