Draughtsman and Estimator

THIS IS A 3 MONTH CONTRACT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF GOING PERMANENT

**Requirements**:

- Be immediately available for employment (3-month contract with an option to extend)
- Matric certificate and related qualification (beneficial)
- 3-5 years experience in the aluminum and glass industry
- High accuracy regarding estimations and project costing
- Ability to read and interpret technical/ architectural drawing is essential
- Experience with Quantity Surveying
- Must know how to operate CAD and other drawings/ estimating software

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing residential and commercial sites and projects
- Supplier management
- Staff management
- Quality control
- Estimation
- Quotes and preparation of claims

Key Performance
- Receiving inquiries form sales department
- Acting timeously in gathering all required information to produce quotation / tender.
- To accurately submit quotation / tender

This includes: acquiring pricelist(s), ensuring parts/ material availability, coordinating with engineering to make sufficient allowance has been made to cover all aspects of the project in terms of regulatory requirements of the industry
- Once the job is active, to communicate with workshop on specifications, material and parts - accordingly to what has been allowed
- Ensure workshop is producing finished goods as per specifications and details
- Ensure site is installing to correct details and specifications that was initially intended.
- To determine incorrect execution is corrected and ensure necessary compliance is met
- To communicate with design team on changes, approvals and acceptances.
- To timeously produce quotes and details for site instructions/ changes or as projects commence

This includes: active participation in workshop and regular site visits. Hold coordination meetings with contracts managers. To keep well documents records of on going site progress and preparations of claims. Claims should be submitted to Armour Elite's accounts department.
