**Job Description**:

- As the Supply Chain Site Supervisor, your responsibility will not be limited to a specific area with a range of general duties being performed in receiving, warehouse, picking, packing and dispatch in order to effectively provide a service offering a delivery to an end user

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Liaise with suppliers, internal customers, colleagues and supervisors to ensure a suitable supply management process
- Agrees to standard operational performance levels and delivery schedules with superior and customer in order to meet demands at operations
- Liaises with superior and customer regarding urgent and emergency orders
- Process functional responsibilities in line with need and demand in relation to departmental efficiency levels
- Arranges direct deliveries from suppliers
- Ensures operational efficiency:

- Adheres to operating procedures, to achieve efficiency under the guidance of the Supervisor/ Manager. These would include scheduling, receiving, storage, issuing and Materials Handling processes.
- Verifies quality, condition and correctness of measure of all material
received stores and despatched goods
- Return materials where necessary.
- Ensures effective and accurate issuing of material from stock
including picking, packing and notification of customers
Applies correct procedures for issuing of emergency and after-hours orders
- Undertakes good housekeeping practices.
Assistance with ASSU queries and action GR/IR discrepancies
- Makes suggestions for improvement in operations
- Verifies quality, condition, and correctness of measure of all material received stores and dispatched goods.
- Interacts effectively with customers and Supply Chain colleagues.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with:

- Logistics Specialist: Supply Chain Officer/ Supply Chain Supervisor:

- Colleagues at the HOP and at the Distribution Centre (“DC”)
- Customers (End users)
- Suppliers
- Buying Department
- Ensure SAP System integrity.
- Ensures accurate date input into the SAP system
- Performs cycle counting to ensure that system records and stock on hand are congruent at all times when required
- Understands how to use the SAP MM module. Uses this knowledge for effective processing of all materials transactions and for basic problem-solving activities
- Handles material in safe manner.
- Operates all equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly
- Report any defects to assets to Supervisor
- Complies with applicable safety regulations, and NOSA operating practices
- Minimises stock losses through proper materials handling
- Conduct VFL’s, Risk Assessments.

**This role is in the Supply Chain department at a Band 7 level reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor.**
- Qualifications
- Materials management/Logistics diploma/certificate - Advantageous
- **Experience**:

- Proven track record in SAP Material Management (SAP MM) with at least 2-3 years’ experience within a Materials Management role in Mining (advantageous)
- Logistics Knowledge
- Fully trained and experienced across all aspects of supply management, inbound, outbound and warehouse functions
- Basic business and commercial knowledge
- Time management skills
- Communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic negotiation skills
