Trade test
Minimum 4-5 years experience on earthmoving equipment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of all
Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word; Excel and PowerPoint.
Electric / Hydraulic faultfinding skills
Welding skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Team work
Demonstrates a technical aptitude and ability
Communication skills to build strong relationship with customers
Ability to identify potential hazards

**Duties**

Repairing and maintaining equipment according to standards with no re-work.
Troubleshooting (faultfinding) on mining equipment, preferably excavators
You will be responsible for repair, maintenance, planning, machine inspections, component analysis and training of the maintenance team.
Field service vehicle and special tools, care and ownership.
Carry out inspection and report on equipment which shall be submitted to the factory (PIR)
Carry out service, troubleshooting and repairs as per OEM standards and requirements
To complete/oversee the repairs of any defect found
Complete complaint, cause and correction on service job card for sign off
Timely complete all relevant administrative requirements, including, but not
limited to service job cards and technical data sheets.
Downloading of software (Sculi)
Work according to OEM standard repair times
Use and understand diagnostic equipment
Choose alternative ways of carrying out tasks (innovation)
Operate electrical and mechanical equipment pertaining to the job, i.e. power tools
Ensure integrity of all related tools of trade
Work according to occupational health, safety and environment requirements
Supervision of employees where applicable, artisan assistant, apprentice
Co-ordination and collaboration of employees working on the same equipment
Helping where needed and carrying out any reasonable request
Needs to attend training courses, online and in Springs
Will work shifts which do not correspond to normal shift times
Required to work overtime at very short notice
On occasions have to sleep out of town away from home.
Provide training to customers about correct usage of equipment and maintenance
Compiling of parts list
Identifying of components
Prepare and submit time sheets
Driving, using, maintaining and taking care of field service vehicle
Completing of warranty and upgrade claims
Submitting warranty, SEU components with correct tagging and plugging
Collaborate closely with technical department to resolve technical issues
Provide training to apprentices on how to identify and resolve issues, repairs,
maintaining, etc
Provide technical support to customers during normal time and after hours
