- Providing the highest quality legal advice, legal opinions, to relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding all legal related matters to minimize risk of the organization.**Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to**
- Attend and resolve legal disputes on behalf of Discovery to ensure the best possible outcome for the organization;
- To conduct legal analysis and research on various pertinent legal matters;
- To take a leading role in providing general legal advice in line with legislation to avoid statutory and/or regulatory consequences;
- To assist in drafting, formulating and reviewing legal material and other relevant documents on a priority basis;
- Drafting and reviewing of all manner of contracts;

**Essential Technical Competencies**
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Financial Services Industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation
- Essential experience in both Long and Short-term insurance.
- Expertise in drafting and reviewing of legal documentation including contracts, complex commercial agreements and policies.
- A demonstrated interest to work ina demanding environment with challenging stakeholders.

**Education and Experience**
- Qualifications:
- Matric
- Bachelors of Laws (LLB) degree (Essential)
- Admitted Attorney / Advocate (Essential)
- Essential Experience:
- 3 to 5 years post-articles experience in the Financial Services Industry
