**purpose**:
- To plan, implement, report and provide direction to the business on matters relating to Skills Development and ensure compliance with all legalisation and regulations related to Skills Development**experience and qualifications**:
- Bachelors Degree in Education Training and development or Human Resources development, Diploma in ETD or Higher Certificate in ETDP, or registered SDF
- 5 to 7 years experience in a learning and development function within the financial services industry (this is a generic role, you don't have to be a financial service expert) Learning and Development.
- Knowledge and understanding of the legislative requirements i.e. Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, National Qualifications Framework, Training and Education Techniques and Methodologies ; Higher Education Act; Further Education and Training Act;
- FSC codes of good practice (skills), Employment Equity Policy, QMS - Learning Programme and training facilitation. - Report Writing - Analyse and Interpretation of information. - Developing Skills Development Plans**additional requirements**:
**responsibilities**:
- Obtain required work skills return on training investments for the Business
- Participate in various internal committees and provide regular feedback and communication to business by communicating, translating and incorporating Skills and Development legislation into business with presentations on Skills Development information and ensure alignment of best practice in Skills
- Advise the business on the quality assurance requirements set by Bank the Seta or any other Seta where and MOU (memorandum of understanding) has been established and provide advice and expertise to business on relevant legislation such as the NQF, SDA and SDLA
- Development Build and maintain relationships with internal (Business Units) and external (regulatory bodies) stakeholders
- Provide feedback to the Employment Equity Forum and Training Committee regarding skills initiatives and communicate skills initiatives to HR forums, introduce and discuss skills processes which impact on HR practices
- Advocate skills development strategies such as learnerships and skills programmes in the business. Coordinate and monitor Business Skills Development initiatives and learnerships.
- Compile and develop the annual Business Workplace Skills and implementation report for approval by head of L& D, then submit the approved annual Business Workplace Skills Plan to the BankSeta in accordance with required deadlines and guidelines - assist business to compile workplace skills plans in line with Bank the Seta
- Co-ordinate and manage the Business learning reporting process by providing reports relating to Business Skills Development statistics and initiatives, receiving Skills Development mandatory reports from business units, analyse them and provide appropriate advice to the Business
- Develop and maintain policy and procedures relating to Skills Development based on best practice, current legislation, trends, changes and developments in Labour Legislation and ensure advising business on new developments in the Skills Development sector and updating Risk Management plans.
- Provide support to business on accreditation of training providers and learning programmes
- Analyse and Interpret relevant skills reports across the group in relation to legislative and strategic requirements. Use the input to develop a workplace skills plan based on the talent development strategy.
- Manage development to increase competencies of self and team
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation and achieve efficiencies
- Manage the training coordinators and Skills Development Administrators to ensure quality assurance of Skills development process, procedures and standards
