**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 with relevant degree/qualification in the medical field
- Minimum 4 Years’ case management and support experience in a hospital and or medical practice environment
- Exposure to Physical Rehabilitation Case Management will be advantageous.
- Proven proficiency in ICD10 coding (proven certificate to support training)
- Application of clinical knowledge in the risk management of patients in terms of length of stay and level of care is essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of all funders.
- Proven computer literacy with strong administration and organizational skills
- Proficient in current coding structures in the SA Health Care Environment
- Knowledge of therapeutic and special care patient needs environments.
- Must have received or be willing to receive Covid-19 vaccination by the date of hire to be considered.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent in follow-up/follow-through.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Need to understand the difference between acute and rehabilitation services (as they are fighting for rehab, not medical care - must be able to explain that to the funder)
- Eye for detail - must be able to pick up errors in ICD-10 coding/discharge dates.
- Strong English language competency
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Forward-thinking skills - identify possible challenges.
- Typing skills would be an advantage.
