The Supply Chain Ass Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong alignment between supply chain (SC) activities and the business/client environment, ensuring supply chain requirements across the BUs portfolio of clients and pursuits are clearly understood, appropriately resourced and addressed in a manner which meets or exceeds client expectations

This position will be responsible for:
Reporting to and supporting the Director - FRM and Probity and partnering with peers across Advisory to develop clear supply chain strategies in support of SCM pursuits/proposals.

Building and growing the SCM business across all sectors, both locally and internationally in partnership with our global partners. - Identify and manage business risk exposure throughout the organizational value chain, including in the course of SC project execution. Key Job Objectives - To oversee and ensure good governance through compliance to regulations and internal policies. - To enhance productivity through coordinating daily activities and building a competent workforce. - To provide input into developing strategic plans and goals for the Supply Chain department and implement strategic objectives.

To ensure attainment of objectives through effective monitoring of projects from initiation to completion with available resources and within budget.

Develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction. Create development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections.

Identify new business opportunities
- including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships and products and services.

To build an effective staff complement through the recruitment, development and performance management of employees.

To ensure effective financial control through assisting in budgeting and monitoring expenses.

Measure project progress, client benefits and budget expectations through proprietary tracking tools.

To promote and represent the company in different stakeholder engagements, build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor.

To report on progress and activities of the department through effective report-writing.

To support/enhance/grow revenue through identifying opportunities and/or providing supporting services.

To take accountability for the quality of client deliverables.

BCom; BA Admin (Hons) in Supply Chain management

Ideally, a Certified Internal Auditor or Chartered Accountant (alternately, a Commerce degree can be considered)

Minimum 12 years’ Supply Chain experience at Senior Manager level or higher

5 years’ experience in state-owned enterprises e.g., SAA, Transnet, Eskom

Sound knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, Treasury regulations SCM policy and processes and Financial and good governance in the public sector

In-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain and Procurement across the private and public sector

Experience in Capital Project Procurement (and/or procurements above R50 million in value)

Sound experience in the following disciplines:

- Project Management and Delivery.
- Supply Chain Management Process.
- Financial Management
- Contract Management
- Business Development
- PFMA/CIDB/MFMA/ Companies Act, Treasury regulations.
