**_ Position Purpose:_**
- Responsible for architecting data, extractions, integrations and migration solutions across Transnet.
- Develop and implement a data strategy that delivers efficient and effective flow of information and ensure data quality and

compliance.
- Lead, guide and oversee the implementation of a single version of the truth (data quality) across Transnet.
- Facilitate definition, understanding and communicate governance of architecture (platform, solution and data), policies,

guidelines, procedures and data inventories are understood and broadly communicated across the enterprise.
- Execute effective workforce planning (recruitment, training, retain) practices to ensure that staffing requirements are

accurately forecasted.- Ensure that efficient and effective partnerships are established with Data Management institutions (i.e. DAMA), individual

data owners and data stewards.
- Ensure that Transnet data security policies and procedures are adhered too.
- Ensure that proper/adequate processes are implemented to maintain and sustain the quality of data across Transnet.

**_ Position outputs:_**
- Planning and Architecting data migration strategies including the execution thereof.
- Manages the creation and maintenance of enterprise data (across Transnet) and operational data insights (ensure

complete, accurate, valid, relevant and timely).
- Collaborates with Operating Divisions’ Business Intelligence and Business Process Owners to envision and define
- Develop data governance frameworks for the creation, maintenance, integration and retention of data to optimize data

integrity and availability.
- Establishes and maintains a testing and quality assurance process to ensure high quality data insights, including
- Manages third-party vendor relationships, including contract oversight, negotiation and compliance monitoring.
- Leads and motivates a team of data quality/insights professionals, providing direction and guidance.
- Strong project management and organization skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
- To analyse and leverage knowledge of behavioural data to generate meaningful insights.
- To learn how to interpret cross-platform (linear and digital) behavioural data.
- Understand, compile, and standardize data from diverse sources. Articulate data story and technical capabilities.
- Document data and reporting requirements. Ensure data accuracy during automation and optimization processes.
- Implement master data standards and data usage frameworks.
- Perform data mining to support advanced analytics. Support senior team members on ad hoc analyses and presentations.
- Develop and maintain a detailed and comprehensive inventory of data assets, vendors and related data priorities.
- Encourage innovation, change agility and collaboration within the team.

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, or equivalent
- 12+ years of experience in software development and delivery
- 3-4 years of hands-on architecture in complex and large-scale integration environments
- Defined and supported governance models in an enterprise environment
- 4-8 years of experience with ETL tool set- Strong experience interfacing with clients, business users and understanding their requirements
- At least 5 years in leading BI Teams
- In-depth experience in relational database with training in analysis platforms
