**Job Specification (not totally inclusive)**:

- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes;
- Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error, determining levels of confidence;
- Establishes statistical reliability by using mean time before failure, and reliability demonstration tests.
- Maintains statistical process controls and processes;
- Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data, making recommendations;
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge of quality control certified quality engineer qualification; and
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Minimum Skills required.**:

- Technical diploma or equivalent tertiary qualification preferably in a mechanical discipline;
- At least previous 3-5 years quality control experience is required;
- Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
- Working experience in Fabrication/Machining/systems will be an advantage;
- Hands on experience in a technical R&D and Manufacturing environment;
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 series of standards; and
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP system.

- Must be deadline driven and customer orientated and pay attention to detail;
- Must have strong analytical skills and be able to work without supervision; and
- Must have critical thinking skills.
