**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Companies around the world are clamoring to find talent with skills in software engineering, data science, UX/UI design, software architecture, business intelligence, cyber security, cloud computing, Internet of Things, product management, and other skills that can enable the rapidly accelerating digital transformation. The Room is solving this challenge by **creating a new supply of diverse, world-class technology talent and matching this talent to global companies that need it.**

Our method is simple: (i) select the best emerging talent from the world's largest pool of untapped talent: Africa (which will form 40% of the world's population by the end of this century); (ii) rapidly train this talent to meet market demands and reduce the shortage of available technology talent and (iii) build a large-scale, B2B staffing business to outsource this talent to global companies. **This is where you come in - **you will help us manage and scale the operational support for our rapidly growing portfolio.

You will be accountable for centrally monitoring the end to end operations of several cross-functional teams across The Room. As Program Manager, you will serve as a partner for team leads across different parts of the business ensuring there is seamless delivery of our programs across the various touch points in the value chain (from recruitment, selection, training to our fellowship program which manages our young leaders once they have graduated from our programs).

On one day you could find yourself troubleshooting issues within our recruitment and selection funnel in partnership with the Marketing & Selection Teams on another you could find yourself partnering with the Talent Readiness Team to understand the implications of having multiple concurrent cohorts and what this means for successful program delivery. Simply put, y**our role will be to connect the dots across the various touch points in the business removing bottlenecks and silos, identifying risks and mitigation measures all the while cascading these insights across the business **and to senior leadership in the organization.

More specifically, role will include:

- **End to end program management & collaboration with team leads across projects**:understanding the key requirements for key projects we are launching within the org, identifying key risks in terms of milestones we are mostly likely to miss, why, which team is the bottleneck and proposing interventions to overcome these hurdles.
- **Connecting the dots across projects**:you will keep an eye on the different parts of the value chain to ensure we are breaking down silos across projects - ensuring teams involved in different parts of the same project speak together and hand-offs are managed seamlessly.
- **Periodically present program updates to our Exco**:you will work closely with **senior leadership **and ensure you keep them updated around the key programs we are running as well as cascading information around program delivery to the whole organization to inform outcomes e.g. sharing info on enrollment and graduation from our programs which might help our city teams and fellowship teams prepare for the next group of fellows for placements.
