Our client, a global manufacturing company is looking for a FSS (Financial Shared Services) Head. Based in Durban or JHB.

The purpose of the position is to set the strategy for
- and lead delivery of Finance operations through the establishment of centralized Accounting Hubs (Kenya and South Africa). This is a large transformation with major impact across the organization.
- The Accounting Hubs will manage delivery of transactional finance as well as selected knowledge-centric services.
- The hub is expected to grow in the years to come owing to expansion of functional scope and coverage.

The Head of Accounting Hub builds and leads the centers and delivery of core finance operational processes, master data management, support other regular asks from Retained Organization.

The head defines and drives the strategy, leads the Finance Operations management team and is a member of the Finance leadership team.

The role is of critical importance in transforming the delivery of Finance services. Role of Regional Accounting Hub is critical to ensuring effective finance business partnering.
- The position requires a senior finance professional experienced in leadership positions in Shared Service like organizations showing a combination of strong operational finance understanding, transformational experience and interpersonal; leadership skills that can strategically establish and drive the hubs

**Educational Background**:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or.
- Master’s in business administration from a top-tier program

**Experience**:

- 15+ years of experience finance controlling in a shared services like organization in Africa or a multi-National company with

global operations
- 5+ years managerial experience with teams of 100+

Skills & Competencies:

- Qualified in Finance & Accounting signifying in depth knowledge of the finance function
- Proven track record of attracting people and building new teams with high employee engagement
- Ability to operate at a strategic level
- Sound knowledge of leading digital finance technologies
- Experience from similar industry
- Strong understanding of finance systems and processes
- Certified Lean Six Sigma (Black belt), Scrum Certification is a plus
