ROLE TITLE: FRONT SHOP ASSISTANT DEPARTMENT: PHARMACY REPORTING STRUCTURE: PHARMACY MANAGER ROLE SUMMARY Aloecrest Hospital is looking for a self-motivated, customer-focussed Front shop assistant to ensure the timeous and efficient service to patients, visitors and staff in the retail pharmacy whilst maintaining high standards of honesty at all times. The Front shop assistant’s responsibility will include but not limited to the receipting of cash and credit card purchases at the till point of the retail pharmacy. The Front shop assistant will be responsible for the daily cash up and banking. The cashier will manage the daily float. The Front shop assistant will barcode, price and merchandise retail and front shop goods. The Front shop assistant will also determine when shelves are low and order items from the preferred retail front shop suppliers. SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
- A basic or post basic pharmacist assistant qualification will be an advantage.
- Intermediate computer skill
- Customer service orientated with high working standards
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least 2 years cashier experience in large institutions and/or hospital retail pharmacy experience.
- Ability to produce a high volume of work, in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of a high quality.
- Customer-orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively at all levels with staff and patients, promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive and professional approach.
- Must have good work ethic, be honest and reliable and be able to arrive at work on time.
- Able to work shifts and will be required to work weekends. KNOWLEDGE
- Computer literate - must be accurate and pay attention to details
- Knowledge and experience of SAP and CKS would be an advantage
- Good organisational and administration skills
- Proactive, organised and able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Participative and able to work as part of the team.
- Professional in appearance
- Flexibility of duty time to suit departmental needs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R7,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cashier: 2 years (preferred)
