**Position Overview**:
This role will be responsible for shaping the Data Management & Governance strategy for the Africa Operating Unit (AOU). It will sit within the Africa Data & Analytics team and work closely with the Franchise, Finance & Bottling teams to advance the bottler data acquisition journey as well as the implementation of best data management & governance practices, standards and policies for the Africa Operating Unit (AOU). This position will also play a key role in setting up the foundations for Coca-Cola’s Unified Data Platform (UDP) and ensuring that organisational data is accurate, reliable and timely in order to enable effective performance reporting and financial planning processes. It will also play a pivotal role in ensuring that OU data projects are delivered in alignment with the Global Digital & Technology Initiatives and are informed or delivered as part of the Enterprise Data Strategy.

**What You'll Do for Us**:
**Data Acquisition**:

- Lead the Bottler Data Acquisition journey for the Africa Operating unit and act as a data liaison between TCCC and its bottling partners in order to advance data sharing and integration opportunities.
- Identify favourable data sources and Implement approaches for collecting data from various internal & external data sources.
- Ensure that data meets the organization's needs and aligns with TCCCs Unified Data Platform’s goal’s and objectives.
- Work closely with other departments such as Global/Regional Development centres and business units to ensure that OU data needs are met and to support strategic OU initiatives.
- Identify and recommend feasible technologies and tools to advance TCCCs data acquisition & integration journey, such as databases, data warehousing solutions, ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, and data integration software.
- Partake in the Design and optimization of data architectures to support robust data integration, storage, and retrieval.

**Data Governance and Quality Management**:

- Establish data governance frameworks and policies to ensure the quality, security, and privacy of OU volume performance and revenue datasets.
- Collaborate with franchise and business unit stakeholders to define data ownership and stewardship structures and embed control frameworks for critical client data elements.
- Document business operating process and standard operating processes in order to socialize standard data practices.
- Attend, facilitate and ensure that defined data governance forums are operational and efficient.
- Oversee data collection, cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes to ensure high-quality and reliable client data.
- Develop and monitor data quality metrics, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies or gaps.
- Work closely with the IT and Data Operations teams to fix raised data issues and maintain robust data systems and platforms.

**Analytics and Reporting**:

- Work with business units to define data requirements and support the development of data analytics and reporting solutions as required by the business and leadership team.
- Promote the use of data analytics to drive informed business decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive the self-service analytics agenda and initiate forward thinking on implementation of Gen-AI and AI for reporting and analytics.

**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Represent AOU at various regional and Global forums in to ensure OU initiatives are prioritised and allocated required delivery resources.
- Influence across the network -Provide strong leadership, direction and display behaviours, inspiring others to work together to achieve defined objectives.
- Present data management strategies and progress to Senior Leadership and other key internal & external stakeholders.

**Strategy and Planning**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Maintain a roadmap for data management initiatives and ensure their timely and successful execution.
- Provide periodic reports to the Program Governance & Project Management office.

**Leadership and Team Management**:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data management professionals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the data management team.
- Manage team capacity and resource planning.
- Lead Team recruitment and HR activities

**Technology and Tools**:

- Stay current with emerging data management technologies and trends.
- Evaluate, select, and implement data management tools and platforms that meet the organization's needs.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Extensive experience (10 years +) with at least 5 years in a leadership position within a multinational firm.
