**Requirements**:

- A technical undergraduate qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
- Formal certification in Data Privacy or Risk Management discipline
- Working experience in risk and compliance management techniques
- Knowledge in Data Privacy Legislation

**Overall responsibilities**:

- Maintain the data privacy critical control framework and manage reporting across all Business Units and Group Functions in southern Africa
- Monitor the southern African business compliance with the Group Data Privacy Policy, Procedures, Guidelines, and critical control framework and address non-compliance by working cooperatively with business stakeholders, escalating to the Data Protection Principal when appropriate
- Be the primary point of contact for data privacy queries from all parts of the business in southern Africa, respond to business queries and escalate to the Data Protection Principal when appropriate
- Prepare final drafts of any required updates and changes to the Group Data Privacy Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines
- Prepare materials for the Data Privacy Steering Committee meetings, the Digital Solutions Governance Board meetings and support local teams with preparing materials for local committee meetings
- Prepare and manage the deployment of data privacy compliance global training to the business across southern Africa
