**JOB TITLE**:Technical Buyer (Water Treatment)**

**SALARY**:R360k - R420k negotiable

**JOB BRIEF**:
Our Client seeks a dynamic self-starter with strong procurement skills to purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, lead-times and HSE protocols to join they fast paced environment.

**TECHNICAL SKILLS IREQUIRED**
- Manufacturing or Engineering degree or Diploma
- Procurement or logistics or supply chain diploma or degree
- CIPS Membership will be an advantage
- Min 5 years proven track record in Technical Buying is essential
- Water treatment industry experience is preferred

**BEHAVIOURIAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED**:

- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills

**DUTIES**:

- Provide Procurement support to the relevant office/division
- Ensure Procurement, Contract management, Vendor control procedures are adhered to
- Handle the Request for Quotations (RFQ) processes
- Supplier’s and vendor selection, liaison and management
- Undertake performance reviews
- Ensure that the goods/services purchased are at the best TCO & contract conditions
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers
- Price Negotiation
- Meet the savings plan and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the Department.
- Ensure that the goods & services purchased are in accordance with the Purchase Requisition
- Purchase goods from approved vendors
- Ensure purchase orders are processed timely
- Capture procurement information on SAP ERP System
- Assist in sourcing products/services
- Vendor Selection
- Price Negotiations
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
- Ensure that all orders are approved by authorised signatories before processing following the Delegation of Authority limit
- Drawing outstanding purchase order reports
- Confirming contract and price queries
- File all records to enable quick and easy access
- Monitor and advise on any issues which may present risk or opportunity to the organisation
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
- Ensure quality standards are maintained by ensuring continuous improvement
- Perform any other duties required by your designated manager.
