**LOCATION**: GAUTENG, SOUTH AFRICA

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**JOB DESCRIPTION - Store Development - DIY**

The Store Development DIY is responsible for the management of all DIY accounts in the region and will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager, VP-DIY & WHOLESALE.
- Daily interaction and development of strategic Legrand topics with DIY customers, with the planning of special actions to increase brand awareness and sales of products defined during the Annual Sales conference.
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects by prospecting and qualifying new sales leads, for the purpose of expanding DIY customers.
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and existing customers.
- Define with the Marketing and/or Communications Manager the required marketing & communication tools for each DIY chain, such as catalogues, brochures, product displays, and signage within the store.
- Carry out regular training sessions and presentations to DIY staff.
- Carry out daily inspections of assigned DIY accounts, to establish correct practices according to Legrand’s requirements.
- Make accurate sales/volume forecasts for specific product lines per store per customer.
- Continuously monitor and analyze Competitors and trends.
- Ensure visual merchandising is done, and replenishments are done from store level.
- Keep administrative records and effective reporting on Salesforce as required by the employer.
- Ensure that you comply with Legrand sales strategy and company policies.
- Attend promotional activities as and when required.
- Perform any other duties that can be reasonably expected within this position outside normal working hours.

**Key performance indicators**:

- Accurate and effective reporting on Salesforce.
- Attend meetings, and build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Develop comprehensive account plans for each client, outlining objectives, strategies, and action plans to achieve mutual success.
- Monitor store performance and identify sales growth areas.
- Provide sales forecast in terms of volume and value, by store, by customer, and ensure safety stock levels are maintained to service DIY customers.
- Manage slow moving stock and Dispo lists - advise on corrective actions required monthly.
- Manage new product listings and stock planning.
- Expand and grow customer base.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving customer questions based on policies, and attending to new leads timeously.
- Weekly and monthly reporting.
- Leverage industry knowledge to provide strategic insights and recommendations for growth.
- Learning with Legrand platform for training.

**Qualification/Education Requirements**:

- Sales Diploma or Degree
- Valid driver’s license

**Skills and Knowledge Requirements**:

- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Must have a good understanding of the DIY industry, and working with chain stores.
- Visual merchandising experience beneficial.
- Retailer and customer relationship management.
- Experience in sales and business development process.
- A track record of exceeding sales targets and developing key customer relationships within the electrical industry.
- Salesforce experience in reporting and updating activities.
- Must have mid-level proficiency in Excel.
- Exceptional level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
