Starlite Aviation Operations (Pty) Ltd has a requirement for a self-motivated, dedicated and well-spoken individual to fill this position in Durban within the Starlite Group.

The Post Holder i.e. CAM / RPA will ensure, along with group of post holders compliance to relevant Aviation regulations, that all maintenance is carried out by suitably approved maintenance organization(s), in accordance with the relevant approved maintenance programme, on time and to an approved standard. He / she will act to ensure that the organizations responsibilities in the following areas can be met:
**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -**

(a) Establishment and development of maintenance programmes for the aircraft managed by the organization.

(b) Presentation of maintenance programmes to the competent authority for approval and provision of a copy to the owner operator.

(c) Ensure the approval of modifications and repairs.

(d) Ensuring modifications and repairs (changes) are carried out to an approved standard.

(e) Ensuring all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance programme and released in accordance with the relevant regulations.

(f) Ensuring all applicable airworthiness directives and operational directives with a continued airworthiness impact are applied.

(g) Ensuring that the aircraft is taken to an appropriately approved maintenance organization whenever necessary.

(h) Ensuring all known defects are rectified.

(j) Manage and prepare all continuing airworthiness records.

(k) Ensuring the weight and balance statement reflects the current status of the aircraft.

(l) Ensure a strong relationship with the maintenance contractor(s) and establishment of a Maintenance Contract.

(m) Ensure that the Certificate of Airworthiness for each aircraft remains valid in respect of:

- The Airworthiness of the aircraft,
- The expiry date specified on the Airworthiness Review Certificate; and
- Any other condition specified in the Certificate.

(n) Reporting any occurrences of a maintenance nature to the relevant organisations. This includes both Mandatory occurrences and occurrences related to maintenance findings, which fall outside the Mandatory scheme.

(o) The amendment and control of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition.

(p) Review and implementation, as appropriate, of any additional requirements.

(q) Application and review of the continuing airworthiness management arrangement(s).

(r) Enforce the QSMS and build a positive quality and safety culture

**PRE-REQUISITES**
- Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Strong Management skills

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

The following is essential for this position:

- 10 years aviation technical experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of helicopter and fixed wing service schedules and procedures.
- Competent in Maintenance Planning Systems and utilization of all AMO resources, systems and equipment at various operational bases.
- In depth understanding of all AMO and Aircraft Manufacturer technical documentation, service letters and bulletins.
- Good knowledge of Aviation Laws, Regulations and Operating Standards.
- Good knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
