**Job Purpose**

To innovate; design; propose and implement set and new strategic initiatives on digital and social media platforms while continually considering the competitor landscape and potential partnerships to effectively improve existing products to promote Nedbank as the market leader; as per Nedbank business strategy. Strategic initiatives could be associated with any discipline e.g., entrepreneurship, commercialisation, information technology, in line with the business strategy from commencement to completion within the scope, budget and time agreed. To manage the technical projects following agile best practices to ensure that the squad is working on the right tasks at the right time, working closely with the product owner to develop and monitor progress reports. To ensure that Nedbank realises the business benefits of improved quality and profitability through enhanced measurement and management from value-add analytics, in line with the business strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- The core deliverables for this role include analytical assessments, project management, strategy conceptualisation, enhancement and implementation, commercialisation and digital technical execution and effectiveness monitoring and reporting.- Ensure the successful implementation of existing projects by effectively management of the full value chain and with key stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Seek and recommend innovative solutions and opportunities for strategic initiatives, continuous improvement by observation; analysing data and providing ongoing feedback to enhance processes, efficiencies, systems, performance, and strategic initiative effectiveness to add value to Nedbank.
- Create a competitive and successful function through understanding competitor activity and positioning to leverage opportunities.
- Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced initiatives or processes that will improve the strategy by highlighting benefits, risks, or considerations to support the recommendations.
- Implement business initiatives by motivating, introducing; managing; making (people change; technological change; process change) happen and keeping management information updated.
- Support the achievement of Nedbank and Business strategy objectives and values by reviewing and ensuring delivered systems; process; services and solutions are aligned and ensure by continuous monitoring; aligning and executing strategy realisation.
- Ensure functional alignment with Group strategy by establishing and driving the long-term strategy for the division, by providing management with corporate performance measures and competitor analysis.
- Ensure strategic alignment and realisation by translating divisional and group strategy into effective, clear, and measurable action plans.
- Assist the Retail Relationship Banking and Group teams by processing various strategy requests when needed.
- Consolidate; analyse; interpret and provide high quality market intelligence and analysis to Nedbank Retail Relationship Management through competitor analysis; market intelligence and reporting.
- Develop and maintain a SimplyBiz member analytics and initiatives dashboard for measuring, monitoring of initiative activities and to provide insights to influence strategic initiatives by engaging with key stakeholders look to refining the dashboard with new metrics.
- Improve the technical, commercialisation and strategic reporting process to ensure high quality output on a consistent basis by challenging and reviewing the status quo.
- Ensure the timeous completion and delivery of input to various management reports by setting realistic expectations given the constraints at hand.
- Ensure that reports are of high quality and completed timeously by optimising the data collection process.
- Build professional, collaborative, trusting relationships though engagement, support and regular communication and feedback with multi-disciplined stakeholders using quality metrics and project status reports as drivers.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders by regular meetings and agreeing deliverables in writing through an analytical, insights driven approach to problem identification and solutioning.
- Identify various stakeholder campaign data requirements and collaborate across divisions and partnerships to achieve common purpose.
- To action and monitor the successful implementation of technical deliverables (e.g., as per the Agile methodology) in software projects, drive delivery based on priority and ensure improved quality in accordance with business needs and strategic alignment.
