**purpose**:

- Provide an effective and efficient service to clients by obtaining the correct medical requirements and facilitating the completion of such requirements related to new and existing business.**experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum Qualification : Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- Experience: 2-3 years relevant medical training or previous medical underwriting/admin experience
- Must meet Fit & Proper requirements for long term insurance category B1 for advise (preferable)
- Person must not be an unrehabilitated insolvent**additional requirements**:

- RE5 COB- Commercial Lines FAIS Credits Commercial experience is mandatory

**responsibilities**:

- Ensure underwriting - medical queries and tasks allocated are resolved timely and effectively by providing first time resolution on enquiries
- Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and exceeded by engaging in effective communication and delivery of service according to SLA's standards that will ensure client retention and satisfaction
- Ensure accurate completion of documentation as per departmental guidelines in order to meet client needs and effectively utilise IT systems to ensure accuracy of documentation
- Ensure adherence to organisational best practice and legislative requirements. Adhere to policies and procedures and take corrective action where necessary
- Ensure all risks to the company are mitigated, identified and escalated where necessary
- Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies
- Maintain a broad product knowledge in order to effectively and accurately respond to customer queries
