My client based in Somerset West is seeking to employ a Facilities Supervisor to join their team asap.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the building, grounds and associated equipment - including plumbing.
- Oversee contractors who install, repairs and maintain building systems, including mechanical and electrical work.
- Conduct monthly inspections of portable electrical equipment, kitchen areas, ablution facilities, fire detection / equipment and other (As required)
- Manage armed response and camera system.
- Ensure effective waste management (Overseeing waste area)
- Any other OHSEQ tasks allocated by the manager

**Key performance areas**:

- Manage the Maintenace and repair of all physical building and security measures (Fencing, doors, locks, lighting etc.)
- Plan, guide and supervise all gardening Maintenance and improvements.
- Responsible for all health and safety issues within facilities
- Input to the company's waste management project
- Assist other departments regarding company functions, catering functions and cleaning after functions.

**Skills and abilities required**:

- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently.
- Project Management skills
- Supervisory skills coupled with a proactive hands /on approach

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Artisan with at least 5 years extensive construction or maintenance experience
- Valid drivers license
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
