WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Supervisor II - DVV will form part of a production team responsible for the rocket and missile sub - assemblies.
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:
- Responsible for the management of all employees and operations within DVV facility.
- Responsible for the execution of the production sales plan according to the MPS.
- Ensure that all relevant Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Explosive regulatory requirements/ systems or standards are adhered to.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement within their facilities.
- Responsible for the issue of work permits, job cards, etc.
- Responsible for staff motivation, training and development, performance management, timekeeping and discipline. Maintain open and effective communication i.e., regular information sessions.
- Lead and manage the implementation, and maintenance of LEAN principles and methodologies within the respective facility.
- Utilization of the company’s ERP/MES/Systems to monitor, record and control plant performance
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in Supervision of a production plant.
- At least 5 years’ experience in operating a hazardous chemical handling process.
- Able to work on SAP.
- Ability to work with Team Centre.
- Proven ability to manage a team.
- Good communication skills (i.e., both verbal and written)
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with other service and related departments.
- Accountable for ensuring that manufacturing of products occurs as per the Product Manufacturing Instructions and the Quality Control Plan.
- Must be able to work shifts and overtime on short notice.
