Digital Printing Technician

Our client in the Manufacturing industry is currently looking for a **Digital Printing Technician**, in Paarl.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining digital printing equipment.
- Monitoring print quality.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Collaborating with design teams to ensure that the printed materials are produced to the required specifications.
- Repair and maintain digital printers.
- Train staff where needed on the routine maintenance of machines and upkeep.
- Train operators in advanced of operation of machines.
- Maintenance of various machines operating software load and back up relevant software and printer drivers.
- Compile of PM calendar.
- Compile and control of digital spares list and stock levels.
- Identify productivity improvement projects and cost saving opportunities.
- Troubleshoot equipment and printing issues and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor inventory levels of printing supplies and order as needed.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Assist in other positions/departments as and when required.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education, N2 Qualification in Electrical engineering and/or electronics.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a digital Technician or similar role in a technical and mechanical environment is required.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Strong knowledge of Large Format digital printers Solvent, Inkjet, and Sublimation.
- Knowledge of digital printing processes.
- Must be technically minded and able to troubleshoot and isolate a fault and correct it.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of following RIP software would be an advantage.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be prepared to work overtime/weekends/shifts in accordance with operational requirements.
- Highly skilled and experienced person with the necessary technical skills.
**Remuneration**:
- R15 000 - R20 000 per month.
**Salary**: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
**Experience**:
- Textile: 2 years (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Paarl, Western Cape (required)
