_**Purpose of this position**:_To assist customers to choose a product that is best suited to their needs and ensures that professionalism and customer satisfaction is achieved when conducting the sale. This will include the ability to provide good customer service in such a manner that customer satisfaction is achieved, resulting in generation of sales & promoting the business which creates sustainable growth in margins and profits.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_

1. Attend to customers in a professional and helpful manner

2. Generate more sales and ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service

3. Control stock levels and conduct regular stock counts

4. Advise customers with regards to products, best suited to their needs

5. Place stock orders with buyers if necessary

6. Attend to relevant admin tasks including the up-keep of the customer book, special orders file and ensure forwarding of invoices to Admin and complete all other relevant admin tasks

7. Ensure merchandising is done properly and that the products are priced correctly

8. Participate in perpetual stock takes when required (or ad-hoc)

9. Ensure good housekeeping of work area daily
- **Requirements for the position**:_

1. Must have a completed Matric Certificate or Equivalent NQF4 qualification (essential)

2. Have at least 7 years’ proven experience in Paint Sales in a Hardware store (essential)

3. Must have extensive product knowledge relating to Paint materials (essential)

4. Have 5 intermediate technical supplier competency certificates or external Sales technique course

5. Demonstrate above average sales technique (Tested)

6. Have proven Leadership, Planning, Time management & Organising Skills

7. Excellent customer service skills

8. Extensive knowledge in Stock counting and stock control

9. Asserts problem solving abilities/techniques

10. Have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal &written)

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Plattekloof, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
