- Update recruitment spreadsheet daily ensuring that there are at least 10 operators / drivers per machinery verified and ready to work in case of termination of operators and drivers.
- Arrange medical checks for all personnel / drivers (where necessary) and ensure that they are fit for duty. Medicals to be attended every 6 months for all drivers and have documented proof
- Ensure that all prospective employees receive offers of employment, upon acceptance complete relevant engagement documentation as needed per the employee file index, issue, explain and sign employment contracts, job description, HR/IR policies etc as part of the onboarding and induction process.
- Ensure validity of licenses, copies of ID, copy of passport / work permit.
- Ensure that employees are registered on clocking unit and that units are in working order at all times.
- Compile an induction process for approval to annually induct all employees on refresher policies and procedures, as well as new employees.
- Update and track team lists spreadsheet daily with contract termination dates and related notice periods with regards to fixed term contracts and probationary employees for accurate compliance to written terminations and/or extensions.
- Complete and issue fixed term / seasonal / temporary contracts to employees and ensure that they understand the content in the contracts.
- Explain memos to employees ensuring that they adhere to the instructions given (as and when instructed to do so) and file documented proof
- Support the line management with all disciplinary and grievance issues, including assisting in investigations, preparing warnings, explaining to and obtaining signatures of employees for acknowledgement of debt / fines, communicating notices of disciplinary or grievance hearings and employee rights to employees.
- Ensure that the Disciplinary Code is issued and explained to all employees, provide documented proof.
- Gather and communicate mitigating and aggravating factors to the chairperson, when requested.
- Communicate the outcome of hearings and grievances where necessary, to employees

Act as translator during discussions and/or hearings as required.
- Maintain professional and good relationships with the various delegates, including but not limited to, Bargaining Council, CCMA, Department of Labour Inspectors etc.
- Ensure proper preparation is done before a Department of Labour Audit, attend Department of Labour Audits and ensure that findings are attended to immediately to rectify.
- Complete COID forms in case of injury and register all incidents with the Department of Labour.
- Order PPE for all employees as per company policy.
- Issue PPE to all employees as per the company policy and ensure that spreadsheet is completed and signed for reconciling with Financial Department monthly.
- Accurately track relevant return / and or deduction of PPE on spreadsheet.
- Ensure that PPE Inventory Stock is correct and accounted for in the storeroom.
- Assist line managers in ensuring that employees wear and take proper care of their issued PPE and that non-compliance is addressed immediately and accordingly.

Pay: R5,946.36 - R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
