**About the Role**:
You will report to the Africa Regional Vice President and responsible for ensuring that the business is in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to its industry. You will work with region to ensure that the Association manages any risk related to non-compliance and maintains a positive reputation.

**You Will**:

- Coordinate, plans, develops, monitors, revises, and implements the regional compliance annual plans and projects in response to the regulatory and compliance environment.
- Share the Compliance and Governance Plan with the Africa Leadership Team (ALT) and the RVP for approval, the results of monitoring the ALT and RVP of new risks regarding compliance, governance, and maintenance of our qualification in the markets.
- Provide guidance and representation to RVP on changing regulatory requirements
- Support the country heads to ensure the formulation of internal controls to comply with the national qualification authority's and internal requirement
- Support the full end-to-end process and support the project proposer with the completion of specific allocated tasks, which may include and is not limited to costing preparation, reporting requirements, risk management if/when the project is deviating from the norm in collaboration with the respective country heads and the RVP.
- Report any compliance risks to the RVP and respective country heads about compliance to regulations and governance
- Attend, document, and store all internal and external governance and compliance related meetings, including : SAQA, QCTO, FASSET, CIPC, Tax and Business Rescue Practitioner Regulatory Groups, CHE, Government Tender Processes, and any other funding bid/proposal and other regulatory bodies within the Africa region.
- Monitor the compliance of South African member groups with internal and external requirements

**You Have**:

- Bachelor's Degree with a related learning field such as Law or Risk Management, or Commerce.
- Professional qualification/ membership with an IFAC recognized body desirable however not a minimum requirement.
- Have experience with the education sector, professional bodies, and capability to inter-face with compliance structures within the Africa region.
