Role Headline

Analyzes and develops the elements of Warehousing and/or Logistics processes, in order to achieve and implement highly efficient Warehousing/Logistics standards within (an) assigned organization unit(s). Effectively execute all duties relating to the effective management of the Siemens DI Warehouse and to assist with any other DI business when called upon. To manage the Inbound Receiving, Central Warehouse (binning & picking) and Outbound (despatch and local Distribution) workload scheduling function and all the relevant staff in the respective areas for the Siemens DI warehouse.

Responsibilities of the Role
- SFS Inventory fulfilment - SCM Imports (Air-Sea) / Exports / Customs /
- Manage Inbound Receiving, manage central warehouse binning, picking & packing.
- Manage Outbound (packing, despatch & local distribution)
- Manage SHEQ function in line with company requirements.
- Manage Workload Scheduling for DI warehouse (warehouse activity monitor)
- Sales Returns - manage sales return administrator and reverse logistics function.
- Consignment Stock - Monthly counts + quarterly audits at partners premises
- Stock Counts and budget control - conduct 2 x annual stock counts for main warehouse + consignment stock with auditors + compliance with budget controls.
- Stock Scrapping - execute in line with company policy.
- E&Y Auditors - interaction on all controls and audit requirements
- Inventory Management - All inventory related issues, stock control meetings and customer queries
- Analyzes and constantly optimizes the organization´s processes to enhance performance.
- Establishes, monitors, updates, and benchmarks metrics, and derives and proposes measures to improve.
- Provides analyses as required by Warehousing / Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
- Proposes and takes over responsibility for defined and assigned improvement projects.
- Initiates and implements warehouse improvement programs.
- Establishes stakeholder relations, identifies and resolves stakeholder conflicts.
- Establishes Warehouse oriented processes in order to meet customer expectations.
- Cooperates with the internal Procurement, Controlling and Logistics functions to ensure acceptance of and adherence to SC processes, guidelines, and tools.
- Analyses and completes Customs Declaration for all Imports and Exports
- Communicates with external auditors in accordance with the superior.
- Contributes to projects, work groups and the training of new employees in the area of expertise.

Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12
- 5-10yrs Warehousing experience
- Warehousing / Logistics Degree or Degree
- International Trade Relations (EU; China; Canada; USA; UK; India)
- 3-5 years Customs/SARS declaration / SARS Cargowise / Warehousing / Inventory / Logistics will be advantageous.
- Computer - Basic Excel & Word.
- SAP Returns (RECO / PEGA / E2E)
- SAP Spiridon IM & WM
- NDS Drop Shipments
