**Job Purpose**
- The role of the Head of Strategy and Reporting in CVM requires a high level of business acumen and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable recommendations. This involves deep analysis of market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs, as well as a deep understanding of the bank's operations, financial performance, and overall strategic objectives.- The Head of Strategy and Reporting must be able to use this information to create effective business stories that articulate the bank's vision, strategy, and key success factors to internal and external stakeholders. This requires strong business storytelling skills, which involves translating complex, technical information into compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. In addition, the incumbant must be able to effectively communicate recommendations to senior executives and influence decision making at the highest levels of the organization. This requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as the ability to build consensus and align stakeholders around a common vision.**Responsibilities**:

- Strategy- Supports and oversees the effective implementation of the end-to-end strategic process.
- Facilitate clear strategic choices about the portfolio of initiatives that will drive the growth and transformation of the business and enable disciplined execution of these strategic initiatives.
- The key accountabilities include Supporting CVM in defining a compelling strategic ambition and clear roadmap. This means orchestrating the overall strategy development process with the BU’s, setting the cadence and milestones and then constructively challenging plans and numbers.
- Track initiatives using the OKR methodology.
- Deliver a world class service through others by ensuring a client centric culture.
- Provide strategic input into the plan of the current and future interventions necessary to achieve acceptable levels and standards of the organisational strategy and operational plans to the Executive forum.
- Strategic balance sheet management, which includes clarifying resource allocation and key constraints, synchronizing strategic options and balance sheet implications, as well as the ability to assess the overall business portfolio performance versus the strategic ambition.
- Deliver services to internal client expectations.
- Build internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement- Lead and direct the establishment and management of the research, innovation and continuous improvement function.
- Ensure the interpretation of organisational strategy by determining innovative solutions supporting the strategy implementation.
- Promote new thinking, creative solutions and ways of working to address issues and mitigate risks.
- Lead and direct how to bridge the gap between market innovation, claims process trends and demands, and the opportunities the organisation can leverage to enable it to be more proactive and effective.

- Develop and embed a data driven approach to analysing and driving performance and growth against chosen business strategies
- Implement an overall EXCO dashboard of measures and metrics; and drive effective cascading of KPIs / KPAs from Exco performance contracts through all levels of the organisation
- Report monthly and quarterly on progress with implementation of operational plans
- Lead the development of functional reporting systems, for management, project or performance reporting
- Lead and direct the development of reports/ policies/ procedures and guide the process through aligning these documents to the overall strategy
- Ensure regular and periodic reports are prepared and submitted as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions
